The Second National Myositis Meet was held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, marking another significant step forward for the myositis community in India.

Building on the foundation laid in Hyderabad, this meeting was organized by the Myoin Society India in association with the Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology and the Department of Neurology at St. John’s. It brought together a distinguished group of clinicians, researchers, patients, and caregivers, united by the shared goal of improving outcomes for those affected by myositis.

The scientific program featured notable experts in the field who delivered cutting-edge talks and engaged in dynamic discussions. A key feature of the meet was its commitment to fostering collaboration, highlighted by dedicated sessions for case discussions and original research presentations, for which abstracts were solicited from the community. By deliberately including patients and caregivers in the dialogue, the Second National Myositis Meet advanced the society’s mission to ensure that advancements in research and clinical care are always aligned with the needs and experiences of the individuals they are intended to serve.
